Brian specialises in producing innovative contemporary furniture to match clients’ aesthetic
and practical requirements.
High quality materials are integrated with outstanding craftsmanship to produce
furniture of the highest quality.
Materials are carefully selected from European and North American sustainable
hardwoods, including high quality veneers. Other quality materials include leather,
glass and stainless steel.
All furniture is constructed personally by Brian in his workshop that is equipped
with high quality machinery and traditional hand tools.
Brian’s furniture has received numerous national awards for design and
craftsmanship.
Brian was
born near Oxford, studied engineering at the University
of Bath and worked in Cheltenham before moving to Dorset
and subsequently Bristol. His furniture making activities
make full use of his engineering background.
He trained as a furniture maker at GLOSCAT in Cheltenham and received
distinctions in all elements of his work. He is now a full time furniture
designer and maker and has won numerous national awards for his design
and craftsmanship. Brian’s work generally involves subtle curves
and oriental architectural forms. |
Brian undertakes commissions for fine
contemporary furniture and regularly contributes articles
to leading national woodworking magazines.
